Responsibilities
The Finance and IT Director oversees the company's profitability and solvency while anticipating development strategies and the need for financing and investments.
Accounting Practices and Year-End Closure
- Produce financial statements, ensuring their compliance and reliability, as well as all financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, and payroll.
- Supervise the year-end process (inventory closing and counting) and coordinate with auditors.
- Implement regular financial controls.
- Manage the accounting for associated companies.
Solvency and Budgetary Control
- Ensure budget development and monitoring, as well as cash flow management.
- Maintain the company's solvency, meaning its ability to repay debts.
- Anticipate the company’s financial needs in collaboration with various internal functions.
- Optimize financing and capital source management.
- Establish and monitor currency management strategies (forecasting needs and hedging).
- Identify and manage financial risks.
Profitability Monitoring
- Provide recommendations to senior management.
- Offer suggestions/recommendations to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, optimize project profitability, establish product costing, and define customer pricing strategies.
Information Technology Management
- Determine and prioritize IT projects.
- Coordinate IT infrastructure.
- Ensure IT support for internal teams and workshops/stores.
- Oversee and continue the implementation of SAP.
Requirements
- Accounting designation required.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
- Experience with SAP (a major asset).
- Bilingualism (French/English) in both spoken and written communication (an asset).
- Excellent knowledge of computer tools, including MS Office suite.
