PURPOSE OF POSITION

Reporting to the Atelier Boutique Manager, the incumbent is responsible for guiding customers through the purchasing process for ceramics, plumbing fixtures, countertops and installation accessories.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customers who come into the store in a professional manner, in addition to answering telephone calls and e-mail inquiries.
  • Participate in the design of customer layouts according to their needs and budget by advising them on various products (tiles, countertops, fine plumbing and heated floors).
  • Advise on quantity calculations.Recommend installation products that meet customers' needs, based on the products selected.
  • Keep abreast of new trends and inform Manager.
  • Participate in training given by suppliers, designers, Céragrès on products and any other training related to improving their responsibilities and/or business processes.
  • Prepare quotations (estimates) for customers from the computerized ordering system within the required deadlines.
  • Transfer quotations to orders.
  • Participate in the development of a new clientele (soliciting designers by telephone, networking, participating in in-store design events and interacting with designers).Recruit and promote customers through the professional designers program.Participate in storing samples in appropriate areas of the Boutique, labeling panels and keeping the showroom spotless.
  • Participate in the preparation of Boutique returns for forwarding to the Céragrès warehouse.
  • Prepare order processing in the computer system (SAP).Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Communicate with customers to measure after-sales service and validate customer satisfaction in order to improve Céragrès's processes.
  • As part of a team, collaborate with colleagues, helping each other to better serve the customer.
  • Communicate directly with suppliers regarding plumbing & countertops.

REQUIREMENTS

  • College diploma in design or related field;
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in customer service;
  • Working knowledge of Ms Office;
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written);
  • Demonstrated customer service and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent judgment, initiative and organizational skills;
